Ok like alot of people I am cheap. I play chaos and black templar so I thought of making fallen and erasing the dark angels insignia off and painting them black making them Chaos and Black templar playable.
And subject two
Ok my cousin is a whiner brat and he always complain that my chaos army sucks (I play a death guard and 1k sons) and that his rules (Dark angles). He always outbeats me and says my army is pathetic. He uses a ravenwing army. Any advice to destroy him.
Well, are you both using updated codex's?Ok my cousin is a whiner brat and he always complain that my chaos army sucks (I play a death guard and 1k sons) and that his rules (Dark angles). He always outbeats me and says my army is pathetic. He uses a ravenwing army. Any advice to destroy him.
If so - then his ravenwing army should suck. Is he pure ravenwing is or he mixing it with other units? A classic ravenwing army would use speed/mobility to destroy the opponent.
As far as chaos units go - i wouldn't field more then 1 unit of 1k sons. Try not using legion specific armies. Black Legion is best.
The units that scare the paints off ravenwing players would noise marines with sonic blasters. Able to unload hails of firepower on the move. If these are backed up with a few oblitz or havocs and a couple squads of normal marines, a ravenwing player would be in for a real fight. Giving all your squads powerfists will make assault very unappealing to a bike army. (Except for units like havocs)
You beat mobile armies by controlling the board - making their speed useless, because they are fragile and outnumbered.
Mobile multi shot units like sonic blasters can cut through a invulnerable save of bikes more easily then a few high strength low AP guns.
If you want to really destroy a bike army, snag a lash - probably on a daemon price of slannesh with wings, since that makes tactics easy. Simply move his units near your guns and blast away, or pull bikes into assault range, or what have you.
If hes bombing you with deathwing, make sure your deploying in cover, probably out of LOS.
Lots of plasma guns tend to do the trick.
He pretty much hit the jist of it. The only advice I have is Autocannons. These spell certain death to his Land Speeders. Also, make sure to have plenty of shots. By plenty I mean throw so many dice in the first turn he'll want to quit. Then throw more in the second because of the decrease of range.
Yes we have updated codex and sorry but to make it more clear he fields a Deathravenwing army mix combo to the max.
