This was mentioned in the conversion room but never really tied up so i wonder if sosmone may ahve a quick answer here?
someone mentioned that the dragon wings from the Imrik, Dragon Prince of Caledor model are designed to be able to fit on the Demon Prince model.
does anyone have experience with these wings for the model as a whole? is this correct?
i was going to go for the balrog wings but i would have to convert them which is ok but i would love it if they had actually made a set that was designed for the model!
all responses appreciated!
From personal witness the balrog wings are WAY too big for the daemon prince. One of the guys in our local gaming group did that and now i can draw LOS to his deamonprince wherever he is on the table.
As for the dragon wings I don't have any experience with using them on the deamon prince but they are about the right size for simi-realistic wings on a monstrous creatures. I use them on my Hive Tyrant and have seen many good conversions with them.

Well, I wouldn't say "made for" but they sure do fit really good. Keep in mind that attaching wings to him would require some pinning as glueing it and eventually using green stuff just won't cut it. I had to drill a hole through the backpart of my prince and stick a giant piece of wire through the body and wings, cover it up with green stuff and glue it. It however holds perfectly, heh.
I DO say they are fit for the daemon prince. the size is exactly the same and the monster you get in the end is just... so...8X the impact on the battle feld is impressive!
thanks for the replys!
i think i have heard enough to pick a set of these wigs up8Y
Chaoschrist, do you have any photos, pictures or diagrams you could posibly help me with regards the pinning you are talking about? im up for the chalenge and have simple pinning experience but would love the input of someone who has worked on a similar model.
try using the wings off of Belakor a character from warhammer fantasy battle.
The wings are much cooler looking and appear ornate with chains and skulls. I used these to convert my friends daemon prince for his khorne army.
I play a mostly Nurgle army, and for my DP i used long long toothpicks (skewer sticks?) and cut them to different sizes and made the 'skeleton' of the wings, then adding slime and guck to them makes them look really Nurgly and chaotic. It really looks quite imposing!
i do love the Be Lakor model! however i was told that the wings may be a little small for a daemon prince, not quite the right scale, im guessing you disagree?
sorry to keep asking but if you have pictures id be most greatful!
nice idea with the nurgle wings im going for a tzeentch prince however
I looked at using the Be Lakor wings for a prince and dry fitted some into the sockets and they do look a little small in my opinion. I have settled on the idea of making an equivalent of a loyalist space marine jump pack in a larger scale from the back part of a land speeder and the engine nozzles from a Falcon grav tank. A jump pack will be less vulnerable during transport too.
BTW I have seen the new high elf dragon wings used and they fit perfectly at the joints but they certainly take up plenty of space.
