Hey all been playing my Slaanesh Tzeentch list abit latly and my Slaanesh lord on a mount is doing really well. However the glory of his Blissgiver has rearly been used to its full potential.
When hes clashed toe to toe with anything of a decent wound count hes been awsome but the rest of the time its wasted. Now i know that the point cost will effect this alot but on average do you all think that the extra 25 points is worth the extra D6 attacks with a chance of getting hurt or will a power weapon just surfice when your lucky to get two worthy tagets for the instant deathness that this brings.

personally for chaos lords i favor lightning claws but thats just my opinion.
Point for point, and kill for kill, twin claws will perform just as good, if not a little better. You'll never have to worry about that dreaded combat, when your lord swings the Blissgiver, and suddenly, the Blissgiver gets offended and strikes back at your lord.
However, between the two above options, I favor the daemon weapon.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Wow thanks for the quick reply.
Lightning Claws are a good idea id never realy thought of them dont know why, first thing I did was give my lord his deamon weapon then just figured power weapon was next step down.
Its a good idea though it would involve drastic changes to my model.
So far the only bonus would be the re-rolls as ive yet to hurt myself with the weapon(knok on wood) and mostly rolld atleast a 3 for attacks.
I've added Lightning Claws as an option on the poll.
Cool probibly a good idea thanks.
I say Blissgiver, always nice to not have to wait for that fist to crack your opponents HQ upside the noggin. Most +1 attack items from the armory were worth 15 points. I'd say that it's worth it.do you all think that the extra 25 points is worth the extra D6 attacks with a chance of getting hurt or will a power weapon just surfice when your lucky to get two worthy tagets for the instant deathness that this brings.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
So far its cleaw a simple powerweapon is a bad idea but LC and DW are going pritty even, looks like I may just keep the DW then.
The Lightning Claw is safe - you get a set number of attacks with rerolls to wound. A Daemon Weapon is riskier, but capable of causing a lot more damage than a Lightning Claw with some luck. Or you could do nothing and hurt yourself.
The only situation I'd 100% recommend taking a Daemon Weapon over a lightning claw is if you are using an Unmarked Lord or maybe a Tzeentch Lord.
It depends on what you plan on using the slaanesh lord for. If you plan on using him to hunt IC's then take a blissgiver, but if you plan on using him against infantry, then the twin lightning claws are far more reliable.
