SO! My friend and I were playing a game the other day, I assaulted his havocs squad with my callidus assassin, killing 3 guys easy.
He then goes to assault me back and starts pouring out the dice. I ask "What are you doing?" he replies with "Oh I get 2 close combat attacks." I reply with... "So... you get... A missle launcher... a pistol, AND CCW?" he replies "Ya."
Can someone please tell me if this is bull---- or not, because that just sounds ----ing stupid.
All chaos space marines get a bolter, bolt pistol, and close combat weapon. Havocs replace their bolter with a heavy weapon, but they still have their bolt pistol and close combat weapon.
So he's right. His havocs DO get two attacks in close combat despite the fact that they have heavy weapons. Don't like it? Tough. Deal with it, that's how chaos works now.
Aside from the last post's attitude, yes, Havocs do have paired weapons despite having a heavy weapon. That and an extra point of leadership compensate Chaos Marines for the loss of ATSKNF. A reasonable trade.

All he really had to do was whip out his Codex: CSM and show you the pertinent lines. I don't know why this had to spiral out of control into a thinly-veiled nerf post on LO, but I really don't like it at all.
As the previous replies have answered, havocs receive two attacks in c.c.. In the future, please refrain from posting threads that can be easily answered with a quick reference to the chaos codex. If you do not own the codex, then you can always PM a Moderator in the respective forum with any related questions, and he/she will be happy to either answer the question or point you in the right direction .
Side: And yes, let's keep the responses polite.
