    Summoning

If you summon something, not deep strike it, can it shoot and assualt the turn it was summoned?

From what I understand, summoned models are able to assualt the turn they enter play, but not move in the movement phase or shoot in the shooting phase.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams

Page 61 of the Chaos Codex should clear this up. Daemons CAN both shoot and assault the round they come into play.

Now I can summon anything that deep strikes right?
So does this also include terminators if I summon them rather than deep strike them?

Only unit types that are categorized as 'Summoned' may be summoned. Refer to page 102 in the Chaos Codex for Summoned units. You can also find additional information on page 61 and the subsequent pages.

Okay I think I get it now. Demons come in Summoned which allows them to fire and assault, and then Terminators just don't scatter if they Deep Strike within 6 inches of an Icon.
    Is that correct?

Our current daemonic units can't shoot as they oth lack BS and weapons, BUT this may become an interresting subject with the new daemonic codex. As far as I know Flamers of Tzeentch and Horrors are able to shoot, if they decide to keep their original makeup, and allow them to be summoned.
