hello all.. i have a few Qs... well first, its the 4th ED codex we use now right?
and second... with the new daemon codex, will u still be able too use deamon princes and lesser/greater daemon? and that possesion on veichles(dont remembner the name of the upgrade now)
will the CSM codex change or will it be the same... thats my Q lol
The daemon prince, they may get something similar, but they will not be able to use the exact one we have.
Thank you for thinking of asking us here when you had a question. Happy to help.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
The Chaos Daemons Codex will not change anything in the CSM Codex. The Possessed vehicle rule will remain the same. Actually with the 5th adition rules, it will probably make our tanks extremely durable, especially the Land Raider.
If the Chaos Daemons rumours are correct, the HQs will be made up of either Greater daemons or Heralds. Two Heralds take up one HQ slot. From what I've heard, the Heralds can use mount and/or chariots.
The lesser daemons that CSMs use are a bit buffed up in the daemon Codex. The different daemons will have their own statlines. From what i've been told the Bloodletters will use Marine stats without the save and have Furious Charge and Power Weapons, and be quite cheap. They will die in droves when they run towards the enemy. but with the 5th edition Run rules, it wont be as bad as pure footslogging. Once they get their charge, they'll manage almost anything. Get lots and lots of them
Bloodcrushers, Fiends of Slaanesh, Beasts of Nurgle and Flamers of Tzeentch will be Elites. Bloodcrushers are slow but gorgeous. They'll probably kick a** in combat too. Fiends have lots and lots of Rending Attacks.
Fleshhounds, Furies and Screamers of Tzeentch will be Fast.
The Heavy Support will be mde up of the Soul Grinder and the Daemon Prince. The Prince will be weaker than the CSM one, but will have options making it both more expensive and more dangerous in CC. Don't know about th options for the Soul Grinder, but in a Khornate army, he'll probably be your only firebase. I hope he will be able to get some AT weapons, as I don't want my Letters to get Ordnanced.
All ya'll got a peek at the codex (I know you're out there), please correct me where I 'm wrong. I still go by rumours.
