Question is where to get the extra weapon models that they can use. As well the few that regualr csm can use but dont come in the sprue box. Think the only answer ive seen so far is to buy havocs then plunder the box but that seems pricy and silly considering i couldv just fielded the havocs instead. As well anyone here use ebay for 40 k stuff? Is it safe/worth it?
Well, for spare bits I either check if friends have spares. Alternatively you could check out a couple of online bitsstores;
BitzBox - Warhammer and 40k Plastic Bits
BITS AND KITS UK - Home
Those are the 3 I'm aware of. And of course there's the trading forum on LO.
I don't think Ebay is worth it, all in all. I find the high shippingcost (me being from Holland and a lot of people are from the US or UK) versus the low choices individual sellers offer not worth it. If I just need 3 meltaguns and someone sells em, that's ok. But as soon as I need a couple of guns, an icon, a few selected heads and maybe even say... a bike fairing, I'm better of at stores like the ones I mentioned.
So when needing special bits, see if it's more you need and see what's most cost effective (since the hobby ain't cheap to begin with). A
As for a safe/easy way... I never had problems with ebay, but then again, i rarely buy single bits from ebay. Last thing that came to mind was 2 sets of forgeworld Imperial fists doors and that went smooth.
