    Old is New?

I have a guard army and i really dont think they are my "cup of tea" and my friends is willing to trade me his chaos army for it but i really like the new models and his are the old plastics and i was wondering if their is really any differnce between them besides some of the extra bitz u get in the new box?

    Thanks,
    Bryan

His are the plastics that there were before the new ones cames out and i was wondering if there was any diffence in you no the armor and guns or if the plastics marines just come with some extra new bitz and just got a new box.

i like the last ones better, the new ones are kind of overloaded with spikes and such, it almost looks silly, i think. but the diffrence is not that great, the older ones are great looking too. afaik they used another kind of plastic for the new ones which seems to be better from the perspective of cutting and modeling.

The models are just recut if you are talking about the 3rd ed to the 4th ed ones. There are an extra two chaos marines in there and loads of new bits.
Id be suprised if he has the older 2nd ed plastic models (flat join at the waists), if so Id definately stick with the new.

You get more bits for your buck with the new sets.

    Go new.

If you don't like all the spikes, well, it's plastic, so it's not exactly going to be surgery to cut them off.
