I'm working to build a Chaos demons army of around 1500 points for a Chaos demon army, combine that with my chaos marines for an apocolypse army, and magnetize the bases so I can play fantasy with them. I know I want it to be mainly Tzeentch, but I'm not sure if it's going to be a mono god army, combine with another, or use all four.
Right now I'm thinking of using either Bloodletters or Daemonattes for CC for the army. Khorne doesn't go to well with the theme of tzeentch, but i think its troops are a bit more effective than slaanesh.
Can Tzeentch function effectivly on its own, or if it needs help, which of the other gods best supplements it?
I'd say khorne fills in all the gaps where tzeentch fail. Slannesh are quite fragile, tzeentch do have great saves but aren't that tough in general. Khorne on the other hand are tougher but actually useful, unlike nurgle.
Plus, rending is great yadda yadda blah blah, but power weapons are far more reliable. Coupled with furious charge on a marine-equivalent in CC, they're better if anything!
If I've replied, i've probably used Italics...

I agree, with daemons it is very hard to make a mono-god army. Because certain gods lack certain things. Khorne will fill the void where Tzeentch lacks. Will be an interesting army though.
It's a good combination as the tzeentch side gives the firepower and the close combat prowess in in the bloodletters.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
