Which unit of basic marines do you guys think is better?? The tzench marines of the nurgle. Which is tougher, ie able to absorve more fire? Better for holding an objective? Better for advancing? and so on.

Opinions matter.

Depends what you are facing.$

Against another Space Marine army, id say that Nurgle is better. They are more resistant, and therefor even more shots will bounce of them while taking less casualties.

Tzeentch is good against people with few high strength weapons. Remember, one hit from a high strength weapon, and the Thousand Son might aswell be a normal 1W Space Marine.

Well, are you looking for lots of psykers or not? tzeentch can offer you lots of psychic powers and lots of medium strength firepower while nurgle gives a higher toughness and a variety of other goodies. Why don't you read the codex and figure it out on your own. Chaos cult armies each have their strengths and weaknesses. It really depends on what you are looking for.

I am looking for your opinion. What do you think nurgle is better at and what is tzench at. Besides the obvious. I have the codex but I havent played one or the other.

Looking for opinions from people who have used them and seen them in action.

Nurgle. Playing most armies (str 3 weaponry) Nurgle is tougher. And its amazing how much nurgles rot can kill for 5 pts.

according to fluff this battel is already on, but as to real life, it depends on the player(and i think this topic already exists, a long ways back). <_<

playing as space wolves i find nurgle a pain in the butt, the extra toughness comes into play so often its not true, even the demon guys and nurgling bases while not posing much of an offensive threat can tie up my troops for several turns.

Id say Nurgle is more allround and works good against any opponent.
They are not that expensive and get their extra T.

Tzeentch depends so much on how you build the list and what opponent you are facing as well as if the opponent knows he's facing Tzeentch or not.

Personally I'd go with nurgle, more variation (except psychic powers of course), better toughness and plague swords are the bomb! I once did a test with a Nurgle Lord and 9 Plague Marines versus a Khorne Lord and 9 berkos. We fought three times and the Plague marines won every time, this was with the old codex though, but it still works pretty well.
