I am a new 40k player and have one quick question. How do you model personal icons and marks? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks
You can model it how you want. You need to just represent it in a way so that they know. Like a banner or make a guy holding something. But it doesn't specifically say how to model it. And as far as I know there isn't something that says there is a certain way to represent them. But you have to represent it due to the "what you see is what you get rule"
Also keep in the mind that the new CSM boxes come with pieces to make one full icon of your choosing.
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
Ah alright, I've got new marines with the icon's I was more wondering about terminators and such. So as long as I slap on anything that stands out a little I can call that an icon of whatever choosing? And thanks alot for the replys.
well yeah, it is a PERSONAL icon, so basically anything that seems sort of individual as a trophy rack but the best is that small icon of chaos, works perfectly, and I don't see a bunch of severed heads really helping terminators guide into the battlefield.
If you read the section in the codex, page 81, second paragraph in the box.If the sorcerers can pick out metal icons im pretty sure they can find the decapitated heads of there most hated foes. Anyhow, whos to say the heads cant contain teleporter homers?Icons act as psychic beacons, allowing sorcerers in the chaos fleet to easily locate them from orbit and direct towards them any warriors that are teleporting to the battlefield.
as I pressed "submit" I knew that there would be some reason they could home onto heads, but oh well. good luck!
