I was just wonderin if everyone could come post the legion they play or are seriously considering starting, I just really want to get a feel of whats the popular ones out there, also if you could like a few sentences about why you picked this group, this is more of a curiosity thing. Is there a poll function any moderator could add for me?
P.S. This is not just another long thread about what army I should play, (I like my Death Guard). I just would like to hear what army is more common among the member out there, and why? Because of the cool models or the neat tactics etc.
Well i will start this off. Death guard is my first and only chaos army(for now) and they will always be my favorite chaos army. I picked them mostly because I liked the new models GW was putting out for them and I had a killer color scheme for them. Also, I liked the tactical flexibility of them with the true grit and special weapons.
I am planning to start another chaos army very soon here and am now considering either 1K sons, World Eaters, or iron warriors.
If you are looking for the most and least played chaos armies, I will list them according to what I feel they are.
Black Legion(many led by generals with marks but are not pure world eaters/ death guard, etc.)
i guess i should say thousand sons

I play black legion, but use an Undivided lord, unlike many BL players.

I play Black Legion though I started with World Eaters. I also have around 500pts of plague marines and plaguebearers that I use in the BL army and could be used as a small Death Guard force if I wanted. I really dig the daemons but they are a pain the ass (for me at least) to paint.
Word Bearers are a pretty rare force to see on the battlefield, I think. I think they are one of the most expensive armies to play if you are laying the fluff on thick. All those daemons are expensive!!!

Hi... My best friend plays Iron warriors plus I Personnaly know at least:
2 Iron warriors
2 world eaters
1 death gaurd
1 thousands son
at my local GW store
so now, im seriously considering starting either word bearers or alpha legion army because no one uses them, plus I am even thinking to the point of making a pre heresy lunar wolves with horus at the helm.
I had this long signature made up, but I didnt like it...
Well, i obviously play Thousand Sons...
I thought they looked cool, so i stuck with them.

My elvish name is Maeglin Meneldur.
I like my Iron Warriors... I have a reason to sit back and fire! (otherwise it would be ''unfluffy''. Note: I do like Hand to Hand, otherwise I wouldnt have 3000 pts of Nids)
Black Legion seems quite popular simply because most new players get them. No special rules, can use whatever units they want, and the fact that Abbadon is on the same page in the Codex im sure has something to do with the popularity.
