Where is the entry that reads;
"Make them all champions so they get the extra power weapon attack, and can still hang on to their combi-plasmas, and a guy with Chainfist and Flamer"
All lightning claws is incredible to behold and unleashes unholy devastation in combat, but you have a hard (or expensive) time getting them there, and they will be completely flummoxed by a monstrous creature.
Still, it looks cool!!
5 man squad, one champion all dual claws and either the IoK or IoS. Personally I would go with the slaneesh for this one because of two reasons, one its cheaper as this is an expensive unit and two get them that initiative boost so nothing ever has a chance to attack back. Then pop them all in a landraider. 225 points for the 5 man squad with 21 power weapon attacks on the charge that strike almost always first and allow re-rolls to wound, that is a MEGA ouch to any unit . Do that against SM terminators and watch as they shrivel up and die in unholy blaze of lightning.
40,000- 7,000 Points Chaos Space Marines=18 and 17
40,000- 2,500 Points Tau Empire=1 and 2
When going for all-out CC, the rules favor causing lots of casualties, so I voted for all-LCs with a champ chainfist. The latter is mostly just for flexibility, though. I would not bother with a heavy flamer as it may cause enough kills to deprive you of a charge. If you're thinking of using it when deepstriking then the Reaper would be a better selection.I wouldn't tool Terminators to go after MCs as a general rule--you lose benefit of the armor save. One is better off using ranged combat, hidden powerfists, Princes or even Possessed with IoT.they will be completely flummoxed by a monstrous creature.
Have you considered bringing more than 5 Terminators? With running you really don't need to put them in the Land Raider and there's no replacement for bringing lots of bodies...well, the Khornate Daemon weapon, if you're lucky.

I like to put at least one power fist in my termie squads, just in case. It makes people a little less eager to charge them, not that anyone's eager to charge termies to begin with.

If you will play against enemies who's vehicles can have Rear Armour of 13-14, take one Chain Fist, otherwise take a Power Fist. These are important weapons both v.s. vehicles and against high Toughness models. Personally in a 5-6 man squad, I take one of each. One each these two has a Reaper or a Heavy Flamer. The other has Combi-Plasma.
I use one Terminator with Combi-Plasma/Power Wpn load-out, and he's usually my first model to remove when I take a casualty, definately when he's fired the Plasma.
Then I use dual Lightning Claws for the rest.
I tend to find that Terminatators are so nasty, that they don't need Icons. But if you have the points to spare, all the Icons are equally useful, though Nurgle is very expensive for small units. Slaanesh obviously goes well with Lightning Claws. Tzeentch increases the survivability against AP1-2 and Power Weapons by 50%.

Personally I believe its too expensive to go all out on one style, if you go all chain/power fists you MAY get slaughtered before you even touch combat, thus there goes 230 points or whatever, if you use swords you will get a decent amount of kills and since marine squads are usually very small, you will take out maybe 5 or more average with just a few power swords, so I say heavy flamer, 3-4 swords and a fist/chainfist just incase.
I voted for Lightning Claws and 1 chainfist. The chainfist is there just to deal with any vehicles you come across or if you get charged by a MC. Im planning pretty much the same squad with the IoT. Or failing that making them alll Champions and giving the unit the IoK. Just for unholy fun.
Where's the Karmoon Special entry.
Well, no matter, I vote for it.
I'm trying to be different thank you >.>. Sides, I'm already giving them combi meltas and a heavy flamer for the ones that dont get L claws.
