i have only seen battlewagon in action where it steamrolled over an eldar force not losing many guys at all. I will be seeing all three of these armies in upcoming 'ard boyz tourny... any suggestions for tactics/units to take a lot of to get rid of these armies in one fell swoop?
Monstrous Creatures. The answer to everything.
GDs and DPs eat BWs and all vehicles, they mess up Tau, and they can handle bugzilla.
Failing that, Bloodcrushers and Seekers/Fiends do really well against thoe big guys.
Check out ==My== blog: www.bnhblog.blogspot.com
Bloodthirsters. Make sure to get the charge. Your Furious Charge will raise your initiative higher than any TMC. BTs have plenty of high strength attacks and good ward saves for some defense. Alternatively, you can rend them to death with packs of Daemonettes. Yet again, their initiative is on par iwth Genestealers and they have plenty of attacks.
Any Greater Daemon can take care of these. Tzeentch has some good shooting, Screamers can make a mess of things, and Khorne units have high enough strength.
Greater Daemons, Bolt of Tzeentch, Daemonic Gaze, and anything with a Hellblade can make quick work of them.
Tau also has another disadvantage you can utilize. Make sure there is more blocking terrain than area terrain. Cut down his/her fire lanes and use winged daemons to pop out of cover.
Remember under 5th Ed, when you hit a vehicle in assault, it's against the rear armour. Bloodcrushers, Fiends and Bloodthirsters will make short work of any vehicles that aren't land raiders / monoliths with their St5 and above attacks. Even Seekers / Daemonettes with rend have a good chance if there's enough of them.
Against Tau Suits, Pavane should work : if I remember correctly, it doesn't even need LOS. It's the main reason I use the Masque : pull mulitple units into assault range, push heavy weapon squads behind area terrain.
Plan B is not automatically twice as much explosive as plan A
so is this setup OK against those mentioned armies:
Kairos (for re-roll save goodness)
DP khorne x 2- iron hides, unholy migtht, flight
DP Tzeentch - bolt,mos,fly, breath.
tzeentch DP x2
Okey, so how much points you have at you're disposal ?
Basicly, I would say "yes" to Kairos in games well above 1500 points, in any game below that limit you can add other units. 3 heralds of tzeentch on chariots with upgrades have similiar cost value and are as deadly as Kairos himself - and won't run to momma when somone ruffle their feathers... which can happen with Kairos, especially against nids and their Psy Scream (I don't think you will encounter that particular power thou).
Breathe of chaos is usefull... on Flamers, so toss it out of DP, unless you're planning to get him into melee - in that case buy him "might" it will help. Also I don't know why you've buyed MoS (master of sorcery ?) for DP with two shooting attacks, since it is MC it can shoot twice without such upgrades.
Next one... Blue Scribes... okey, that was a joke, right ? Basicly you're getting overpriced HoT with load of useless (Pavanee ? Boon of Mutation ? Aura of Decay - WTF?!) powers.
DP of Khorne... I'm guessing you took it because it was cheap, so I won't comment that one (DP of Nurgle can literally reap apart any MC he'll get his hand on, save those with higher I, it isn't cheap, yes, but it's worth it).
I would recommend using Heralds of Slaanesh in this configuration:
- T. Gaze
Also, you could buy Might for BT - since you can't count on insta gib, every time you charge something.

so you seem to suggest 2 GD and 3 DP? I will check out nurgle DP - but doesnt it just make it a little tougher though and that's it?
I recommend fiends and seekers. Their rending and 3 millions attacks can make short work of MCs and vehicles. Plus they have the speed to keep up with skimmers.
Large amounts of horrors with bolt of tzeentch are good against the troops these armies play.
do taus all have 3+ saves? i would like to use bloodletters but afraid they get shot to death way before that...
Only stealth and battlesuits have a 3+ (Broadsides have a 2+). Fire warriors have a 4+, Kroot have nothing by default, and Vespids I can't remember... but it's not better than a 4+ for sure.
