OK I have an Eldar army right now which is just about finished and am now looking to make a another army and the Chaos SM are my main choice. I have read threads about tactica, but I was wondering if there was anything I was missing that could pursuade me to start buying the Chaos instead of another army.
I'm afraid we will need a little more in formation than that before telling you if chaos could work for you. What are your preferred play styles, would be usefull.
If you just want to know what we have got 'over' other armies.
Our Marines are cheaper, and better in close combat, than normal marines, due to 'Uber Grit'.
Our Marines are quite possibly the most versatile troops choice in the game.
Obliterators, 7 weapons, nothing more needs to be said here.
Daemon Princes are cheap, effective, and have amazing modelling opportunities.
Whilst summoning them can be awkward, you will NOT find a better Monstrous Creature for its points than our Greater Daemons.
Modelling opportunities for the entire army is good.
I still think that our terminators are some of the nicest plastics GW has ever made, especially the terminator lord model.
Karmoon Special Terminators, cheap, effective, powerful.
I could go on.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
If you like to convert something chaosy and twisted, but you don't have any bitz or you don't know how to green stuff well, CSM have the anwser for you - Chaos Spawn!Realy good for convertions.(Just prooving the fact that chaos likes convertions ).Our cult troops are as powerfull as some elites, but they are troop choices, so csm have more tactical power over other armies. Our special Characters are beasts, they are litteraly 'bad to the bone'.
If yoiu like doing conversion work, and painting lots of gore, Chaos is the way to go.
If you like tearing peices off a cardboard box and using to much glue to put them on your models, go orks :-P
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
Plague Marines. nuff said.. they are tougher than marines and have their own version of WBB. plus a Plague Marine army wont cost you much as the squads are expensive so you do have much on the table.
May the "Nurgley Goodness" protect you!
OK thank you for all the info. I'm going to post a list that I think will hopefully be decent(in another thread) so any suggestions before I start buying all the units for it would be helpful. Thank You once again.
