Do Chaos Space marines still fight using astartes tactics? (this is for second founding chapters) or do they have their own style of fighting now that they are traitors. Also, where do they get their stuff? Are their Chaos marine frogeworlds? Or do they just steal their supplies?
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
Don't know about the fighting styles, but the traitors are now mostly pirates. They loot and steal they're equipment, but i wond'er why they're not getting some of the new SM weaponry.I would love to see a chaos Land Speeder
many still use similar styles of fighting but some have changed a lot as for forge worlds there are daemon forge worlds but most chaos space marine weapons and armour are stolen or salvaged from the great crusade or hours heresy in the case of traitor legions.
with in the eye of terror power and terminator armour that are in good condition are of high trading value within the eye of terror
Nah I think they would fight similar to orks in the sense that they maintain a small bit of tactical style, such as gun lines and what not, but nothing too over the top, charge in, hack off heads and leave.
CHAOS IS GLORY!
Hey,The four First Founding Legions that fell into Cult worship have distinctive styles.do they have their own style of fighting
But so do Pups, Darkies, Bloods and Scars, so maybe that's not a Chaos thang . . .Evidently, they don't get "stuff". If they have STCs or can liberate Imperial tech, no one's told GW . . .where do they get their stuff? Are their Chaos marine frogeworlds? Or do they just steal their supplies?
Before the Legions were eaten by Squats, the fluff stated that all their "stuff" was 10,000 years old.
That way, Loyalist Wargear was differentiated from Chaos', and reconciled the latter's crappy rules.
Now that fluff 's been sacrificed on the altar of Marketing, there *is* no logical explanation.
Apparently, at the first hint of unrest, a Chapter's gear all spontaneously morphs or disappears.
That's how you know they're Heretics. Why, the Inquisition has never had it so easy . . .
"Hey! What the ... these horns weren't here yesterday! Wait, then that means ... Awww!"
Chaos Land Speeder sounds awesome! Would be cool if we were allowed to pick one unit in our army from the SM codex (excluding HQ) to show the variety of Chaos.
Everyone is corrupted by Chaos, myself more than others!
you could make a land speeder squadron and have it count as a biker squad. the similarities are obvious: same movement capabilities, similar toughness (especially with icon of nurgle).
the diffrences, however give you some intresting modelling possibilities: like a power fist or something. whould it be swung by the driver or be an additional close combat weapon of the speeder itself?
there's dark mechanicus, so i presume that there are chaos forge worlds...i don't think the imperium produces enough marines to provide for all the salvage chaos legions would need, especially the more organized ones, i.e. black legion.
as for tactics...everyone really just goes by their own mojo. world eaters are an obvious parallel to blood angels, as are iron warriors to imperial fists and night lords to white scars. some legions are strategic enough to be a collective wet dream for sun tzu and clausewitz, like alpha legion. others...not so much *cough*emperor'schildren*cough*
All the traitor legions and warbands would have there own fighting styles that may have changed since there fall from grace. Some of the traitor legions will still stick to the same methods of warfare, they worked against the enemies of the imperium, they will work against it aswell.
If anyone has reaad the novel Dead sky Black sun you will know that the Iron Warriors new homeworld Medgrengrad is giant industrial planet, were weapons and armour are made on a rediculous scale, this is probabley traded with other legions and warbands for gene seed, slaves and other items of worth.
