So, I said to myself that chariots are great but how exactly am I supposed to represent it? I looked it over and the chariots from Fantasy have these huge square bases. Am I supposed to use those or should I try and model a circular shaped base of the same size?

I am pretty sure you will need to use the 50*100 bases like in fantasy. They just released them on the GW site too. I think next spring we might see some of the models too.
I got some resin 50x100mm chariot bases from micro art studeos. Foundations of war and dragonforge make large oval bases for 40k attack bikes that would be more fitting for WH40k. Making HoT chariots need very long bases because of the length of the tails for the screamers of tzeentch.
