Well, I have a thousend or so points of Chaos, and due to my inability to pass saves I'd like to add lots of little men to my force. I like the Idea of feilding a 'russ and hellhound. I like the fact that the only unit I own that I wont be able to use are my Havocs. I can make my chaos squads into two large ones (excess asp. champions can be used as a seperate HQ choice ) The question is - shall I do it?
A Promise to a dead man means nothing.
and yes but have rough riders made from the archive cold ones and have all with hunting lances s5 power weapon attacks rules with 2/3 attacks each on the charge they rule

The LatD army is a very fluffy and interesting company to play with. I have converted 2000+ points army of them.
If you can field your existing chaos marines in 1HQ 1Elite and 2Troop choices then go ahead!
The massed numbers of mutants and traitors lets you forget the armour saves and gives you a lot of attacks in cc (if you can get there... ), and you can field some striking ordenance weapons to back you up. (I use a defiler and a basilisk/leman russ + 1 spawn unit to cover my mutatnts)
If you have enough time do create the mutants, then it's the ideal army...
