I will try to ask in the simplest way possible.
I want to have a squad of veterans follow my lord around, and because of his fantastic anti-zeal, they are incredibly good at close combat and hold nothing back in the face of the enemy, I want to use the profile of khorne berzerkers, but modeling just regular marines as obvious veterans with scars, trophies, spikes and scripts lining their armour, as I don't like the khorne models much, but massively love the basic chaos marines to death (of the false emperor).
Would this work in a tournament setting? If the bases were colored or each veteran given a name so they cannot be swapped with regular marines, and the obvious veteran markings of course to go along with it.
Thanks in advance!
provided you pay the points cost of a bezerker and make it perfectly clear in your army list and to your opponent, its fine.
Thats the plan, let him know before hand, that the really angry lookin guys are count as berzerkers and of course I would pay the right price for them. Thanks for the quick reply.
To echo kloma, its perfectly fine as long as you've made the effort to make the models look like they are veterans, count as is a completely different matter to WYSIWYG.
