I have an 8 man unit of Chosen currently in my list with a power fist champion and 3 melta guns and I intended for them to mostly out flank (They're Night Lords and surprise attacks work for the theme) but recently I'm debating if a Rhino would be worth it for them or not. I have the points in limbo for the Rhino being able to either put a 5th Combi-Plasma terminator in my terminator unit (which before hand has a Heavy Flamer, Chainfist and 3x Combi-Plasma) or of course the Rhino.
I'm just not sure if the Rhino is worth it is all. It has some big upsides but some downsides as well. The good part would be the extra range it gives my Chosen when they arrive from reserves which could be a boon for them with their shorter ranged weapons but on the other hand the Rhino prevents them for every infiltrating normally which sometimes could be quite useful and if an opponent is within 12" of the board edge they could assault them without the Rhino but not with it.
So what sounds better? Is the Rhino worth it or should I add a model to the Terminators?
Have two lists, one with the Rhino and one without - if it looks like a particular battle would be better suited to the chosen not using it, use the "without Rhino" list.
I'd take the rhino, because even if the chosen only come on it it and then do not use it, it is another mechanised unit to take fire away from your 'real' rhinos. This would mean that your rhinos all become a fraction more survivable. Personally I take rhinos wherever I can/whenever I have the points, for just that reason.

Fenrir: and magic.

I usualy don't take the rhino when I use chosen, But Riptor makes a good point, another rhino can't hurt to draw more fire

Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
Use the Rhinos for two reasons:
You outflank 12 inches onto the board with it.
You can shoot two guns from inside of it.
If any armor is within 18 inches of a side you come on
you're going to get the extra d6 for penetration.

Rhino defenitly, you can still outflank, and it gets em there faster. It can also be upgraded according to the situation, and at 35 pts its cheap.
Well it's seems its pretty unanimous that the Rhino is what to go with. I'll give it a shot with it for a while and see what I think. Thanks for the replies everyone.
I don't think that's the case anymore. The Rhino is listed as having only one firepoint; there's no statement allowing two models to use it at the same time. You can shoot two guns from inside of [a Rhino].
I wouldn't use a Rhino with Chosen in any event. The best use of Chosen is outflanking them into a sensitive location, not a one-time suicide charge. Use deepstriking Termies and Raptors for that.

The errata fixed this and has it now written that the firering point may be used by 2 models
Rhino's in fifth edition are nice. You can "assign" it to one squad and use it for another.
I'd keep it. If you can infiltrate and want to, give the Rhino to someone else or no one at all. Use it to block Line of Sight as needed. Thirty-five points for a movable wall is nothing to laugh at.
Chaos - 55,000+ points
Tyranids - 15,000+ points
Necrons - 6000 points
