I've been reading that the new GT army to beat involves 2 mobs of 12 nob bikerz- half with power klawz, painboy and cybork bodies + warboss on bike.
These units cost something like 500 pts each, but they have toughness 5, 2 wounds each,
4+ cover/4+armor/5+invul save and FNP.
Somehow the rules lawyers have also figured out how to make each model take a single wound before taking 2nd wounds, so you have to put 13 wounds before a single model disappears (something with the new wound allocation rules).
Does anyone have suggestions on how to beat these guys? I think wind of chaos would work well (they would only get 5+ invul save, and I don't think they would get FNP). But whatever casts WoC will be very dead the next turn.
Any other ideas how to cope with these units?
Single S8 or > shots
20 man squad with IoTz and a powerfist charging them
Tank shock for desperate times, Ld9 rerollable, go for the break and chase
I've failed plenty of tests with my Ld10 CSM's and IoCG
They key to that tactic is all the members of the unit have distinct wargear...
If all else fails turn into WYSIWYG police cause if you can't tell they're different they're not
When they charge, they hit hard. Take away their charge and they'll lose a lot of their punch. Charge them as soon as possible and do whatever you can to prevent them from charging you. Use Lash, hide behind difficult terrain. Do whatever you can and take away their charge. Throwing an equal number of points at each squad they will die in a hurry. Power weapons, AP2 and AP1, and any MCs will ignore their FNP.
The people who play these types of lists are more interested in the win than anything else. Use the scenario rules to your advantage and put every non-troop you have on them tearing them to pieces. Then use your troops to casually capture objectives. They won't have a chance. 24 models for over 1000 points may sound like a pain to take down but our 1000 points will almost double their model count, including power weapons special weapons, and vehicles.
It's a pain to play against and usually leads to very little entertainment on the opposing players side, but unfortunately this is how the broken-ness of the Ork codex is laid out. Until they come out with a new, unbroken codex we're stuck with these types of lists.
Chaos - 55,000+ points
Tyranids - 15,000+ points
Necrons - 6000 points
I wouldn't say that the Ork Codex is broken, it's just very pumped up.And for dealing with those guys, i think you should try running a few defilers.Blasting them while they go to CC.Defiler has higher I thank the Power Clawed nobs, so you will deliver quite a punch to them.Ofcourse the defiler will fall after the surviving nobs strike back, but they will tare down less points than u killed (I think...).Another thing to think about would be greater daemon.Combine them with raytard's 20 man IoT CSM and try to punch throo them (ofcourse that will kill you're power fist champ, so i supose that option isin't so sweet). As everyone said, take a lash, it's always good against da orksiez.Good luck on beating those nobz
If he plays lame, then play lame yourself. use two chaos sorcerers with lash of submission and let them ride in area terrain each time. let them make as much dangerous terrain test as possible and let them all die because of that. because each time they move with lash of submission into it, they take the test and each time they rid out of it, they test again.
Anything that gives a str 8+ attack is good as the extra thoughness from the bikes doesn't count for instant death, ID will also negate their beloved FnP.
2DPs w/ lash, 2 Defilers, no more NOBs
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
It's exactly because of situations like this that I maintain that with the Chaos codex, certain load outs are only broken depending upon your opponent.
Great advice given all around

I wouldnt really depend on shooting to take them out, considering they all get a 4+ cover, and with a blast weapon that will statistically scatter.
Now, the surefire way to kill them is with a bezerker charge. Hitting on 3s and wounding on 4s there will be so many wounds that they will take enough casualties to make them not fearless and with a powerfist which can take out the warboss they will probably be sweeped. The bezerkers will take casualties but it will be worth it because they just killed a fourth of their army.
Now bezerkers mixed with some firepower to soften them up will undoubtedly wipe them off the board
