Hi there !
My memory told me that some of you, in the pas, asked about the source of new chaos space marines.
In order to answer this question, I suggest you read the book Storm of Iron, this might help you get an idea of how do they try bolster up their ranks with new recruits.

CHAOS Undiv.: won 14/22 games EC: 4/7 WE: 6/9 DG: 10/15, TS: 3/7 Orks : 13/20 SM NL : 1/6 TAU: 14 of 24 IG: 3/7
It's very good indeed.
Can I remind people of one just one thing?
If you want to discuss Storm of Iron, please do not spoil the contents for other people who haven't yet read it.
Showing off what you know isn't cool at all. It's rather obnoxious... so don't do it. :p
My advice would be to put your font into WHITE, so that you can only read it when highlighting it. Like this:
Karmoon is really cool. But he's not as cool as Rabbit or Riptor. No one is as cool as them.

hehe, Karmoon as modest as ever
i may have to indulge in that book soon, just finished 'Lord of the Night'
Oo, I just went to pick up Lord of the Night today, will be starting it once I finish Dark Disciple.
Karmoon is only putting that in white because he knows its not REALLY true.
Also, could you believe at the end when Haha, i'm not actually going to spoil it.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
you can read whats written in white, actually, at least on my screen... at least when you know what to look for. aaaaw my eyes hurt...
you could also use the search function to find the thread you meant, but it could be hard to pull this off without knowing the exact title of it. this could make for some serious threadomancy, too so you better not overuse it .
Karmoon, I completely agree with the content of your white words (with a minor change...see above Karmoon post). In fact, I couldn't have said it better myself

Spambot kill tally. . .337
After reading Storm of Iron I recommded reading the Ultramarines Omnibus (Nightbringer, Warriors of Ultramar, and Dead Sky Black Sun)
Dead Sky Black Sun also gives insight into how Chaos Marines get replenished. Of course you need to read the first 2 books in the series for best enjoyment.
Dead Sky Black Sun also can be something of a sequel to Storm of Iron, as it carries on the surviving Iron Warriors storyline, though with the new edition of Storm of Iron, McNeil seems to hint that he'll be bringing around an official sequel of some kind in the future.
But really, if you're looking for good Chaos fluff - Storm of Iron is the best Chaos Marine novel I've read so far, I'd actually say it's the best 40K novel I've read so far (and I've read quite a few!)
"If you can wait til I get home, then I swear we can make this last."
Storm of Iron is worth a read-one of the better books featuring CSMs. As is the Ultramarine omnibus-if only I could find mine!!
