    How do you model Melta Bombs?

    I'm a big fan of the melta bombs and I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how to model them for WYSIWYG.
    Any pictures would be nice to see if any are out there.
    Sorry if in the wrong forum, but I wanted to get the Chaos opinion.

    I always modeled them out of green stuff, making em look like little propane canisters.

    some folks like to use the tanks from the normal flamers and use that as a meltabomb..

    But i'd rather just buy the meltabombs from a bits-service (sm has some) instead.

    or perhaps something like this: ?

    imaginary cookie for the one who guesses it's origin

    personally, i use the pouch bit that has the smooth grenade on it as a melta, and the knobbly one as a frag/krak

    mmmm thermal detonator.

    You could model something like that by just using a little greenstuff on a normal grenade to fuse the top and bottom frag squares together maybe.

    @OP -

    The Assault MBomb bit is an oblong with a 'D' handle at one end:

    BitzBox - Warhammer and 40k Plastic Bits - Space Marine Assault Squad Melta Bomb

    The Devvie version has an oversize handle on the side:

    BitzBox - Warhammer and 40k Plastic Bits - Space Marine Devastator Melta Bomb

    Both look pretty easy to duplicate in GS if you really want to show them.
