Hi ive just purchased 2 packs of IG renagade convertion kits from FW and a command squad out of momentary madness now beacuse making a full army of renagades will be far to expencive if i can combine the two armys some how the club i play at is flexable but i want to know it there is any legal way of feilding the 2 armys togeter. aparently there is some light on the situation in the eye of terror book but i cant get a hold of it, if anyone has some ideas it would be great
Yeah, you're looking for the lost and the damned lists
But it's tecnicaly not "legal" anymore, its outdatted (3rd edition). But in friendly games, I've never had a problem fielding those armies.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
Thanks for your responce ive had a look at it and has helped alot
a current way of running them:
Add them as adversaries from the witch hunter rulebook - as traitors or mutants that you just "slap on" to any army (you could use CSM's as your base army) - It's designed to do it that way. Then go get a renegade psyker. It's a lovely model, and they're quite frankly hilarious.
This is a opponents permission way, but is totally current.
If you wanted renegade guard with CSM squads the siege of Vraks 1 has alpha legion units in a renegade guard army (limit 1 squad in elites)
If i remember right Vraks II does too (can't remember details. sorry)
I have been informed III will have daemons in a renegade army, including a (just one? i'm curious!) special daemon character. More CSM's will be turning up on vraks too, I don't know if this will be reflected in their army list (probably though)
P.S. I use them as my undead IG army's stormtroopers (Normal troopers are zombie / tomb king skeletons with a cadian torso.)
P.P.S. There's some exellent CSM conversions out there using those torso's too.

I don't think you need permission to run "counts as" armies, do you? If so you could use whatever current codex fits your needs and model it as appropriate.
