First off the codex says summoned demons take up no FoC but are treated as troops does this allow them to score?
Secondly I play chaos demons(as well as tau) that is what got me looking over to chaos marines. I am looking for things that would work well to swap between armies. I own now for my demons:
3 Demon Princes
4x converted heralds of slaanesh
3x screamers of T
Great Unclean one
3x beasts of nurgle
I am thinking that the soulgrinder which i like better then the defiler kit would work well in either list as a defiler or soulgrinder. For now I figure when playing friends I can let them know my bloodletters are beserkers. Guess the question does anyone else have any ideas for things that could work well in either army. I think I will work up a list for marines with my demon princes as lash princes as they are already used as slaanesh princes in my demons and the extra demon prince as a summoned greater demon. Of course all my demons could be summoned demons as well. Would anyone have an issue playing against a player who used khorne bloodletters as beserkers in a list?
Yes, they're treated as scoring units.
As far as substituting daemons for any type of marine slot, as temp proxies, that should be fine. However, you might want to check with your local group just to be sure. At a sanctioned tournament, obviously, this would not fly. The same goes for subbing a soulgrinder for a defiler, although in casual play, this is much less of a leap, since both models come from the same base template.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Just looked through codex more. I didn't realize that bezerkers had pistols as well. Guess had I known I would play chaos I could have done some berzerker/bloodletter conversions that would look well for either. I have yet to see the soulgrinder assembled and next to a defiler, do you think it would be possible to swap out the demon part for something that looks more like the defiler part through magnets?
It's the same exact base, you just put a different part into the little hole on the top of the crablegs.
You could probably use plasticard and extra tank peices to make something that looked like the top half of a defiler and just swap the parts out when you're using either army.
For transport purposes, I don't have the defiler body glued to the legs, I just slide it on on when its game time.
Damn, that sounded as sexual as Rabbit's Fisting Champ... Almost...
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
