Does anybody use Malal as their patron God?

I've been reading a lot about Malal and I was wondering how many of you use Malal-based armies.

It's said that he's the God of choice for many 40K veterans and so I was wondering how much of this is true.

If any of you do so, would you mind me adding them to the BC Wiki please?

I'd never heard of him (it) before now, but dang does that sound like a cool option for a god
Who knows, maybe I'll write some fluff for my army following Malal now - thanks so much for bringing this to light!

I've had plans to do a Malal force for some time now; I never get around to doing any armies, but when/if I get a CSM force off the ground, it'll definitely have a Malal theme.

Many moons nago, I wished to do a Malal force, and then the new chaos codex came out, and I lost sight. I ended up adding more cult unitsto my army, and thus now it wouldn't make much sense for me to turn to Malal.

I remember the Sons of Malice from the last codex were hinted to be based around Malal. After the Legion HH book, it would make sense for Alpha Legion to follow Malal.

Holy crap this is the god for me!
I just have some doubts as I can no longer use cult squads if I take a malal themed army...

Although couldn't I if the units would be explained as just fallen from their original army/god whom they worshipped?

I'd imagine you could get away with cultists with some tweaking. I'm sure between the "counts as" rule and the folks on here good at writing house rules, you could find something.

I'm going to say that i've never heard of him and as the artical you cited says that he was out of the GW mythos in the early 90's. To be honest even now knowing about him i'd still give some one with that god as their deity a funny look.

Now if you used this for a campain idea or an odd idem on a character then go for it.
Army's used: Space Wolves, Tomb Kings, High Elves, Tyranids, Tau and Eldar.

I´m having plans for a deamonhunter army, led by a Malal worshiping Inquisitor. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" I think that perhaps death cult assasins would fit the theme pretty well.

Wouldn't a Malal themed army just be an undivided chaos marine list, but with a black/white color scheme? If you really want to use cultists, just use the unit rules for lesser daemons

I had painted up a couple squads of chaos marines in Malal colors a while back. Half black, half white
