What is a good way for daemons to deal with total reserve armies?
So far they've been the hardest armies for me to deal with, i either get swamped by their focused army or i get stuck having to move across the table to get to them while i get picked off unit by unit
I have yet to beat any army that does this, can you help me?
What kind of list are you using? Advice for this depends pretty heavily on that.
2 Tzeentch Heralds on chariots
2 units Fiends
unit of FLamers
2 Soul Grinders w/ PHlegm
What list are you struggling against? Drop pod marines or drop troop IG?
every army that is playing all reserves i'm having trouble with
SM (not necessarily drop)
So any unit who can deep strike gives you trouble, well the things that hurt DSing is having units spread out as much as possible and leaving very limited "safe" areas to drop. Also getting units into combat with what isn't deepstriking would help one the armies who can't fully deepstrike. So if you are getting units out before they deepstrike spread out and set up deepstrike screens with plaguebearers offering cover saves to everything behind them.
not deep strike, reserves
I am not aware of armies being all reserve armies....and most armies that are held in reserve need to enter via deepstrike. Dawn of war set up allows for reserves to walk in from table edge but dunno how that affects your army.
in 5ed, any unit in any army (except for daemons of course) can be with held for walk in reserves
SO if a player chooses to, they can have their entire army walk in from reserves turn 2 or later
I fail to see how this effects you as you know where they will be coming and now they will be coming in piece by piece and you have next to no risk in deepstriking outside of your own units. I have never seen anyone use this or do it outside of Dawn of war.
