Welcome to Librarium Online!
Played my first game tonight and had a blast! Been lurking for a long while here and decided to write a bit tonight to help all the other daemon players out there. I am brad new to Daemons and found out tonight that if u have poised weapons (noxious touch, Plague sword, ect) and your strength is equal to the toughness of your target you get to re roll failed rolls to wound! Also it seems for a 1k game a unit of 7 plague bearers is about a good size. The unit of 7 lasted the whole game ending with 2 against IG squad of ten and some eldar baddies. Thanks to all who help out us new players here! You have all saved me much head ache and money on wasted models (furies lol).
Yeah i missed that part of poisoned attacks in my pure nurgle force for a game. I then read up on poisoned attacks. It makes up for plaguebearers one attack is that they will wound all basic troops almost and they can wound even high T models as well. I just take 4 squads of 5 for my objectives in my current army. You can stick them in cover and near objective and getting a 4+ 4+ on most shooting is good and they can hold their own against any models without power weapons/MC in CC.
Its a good idea to read up on all the special rules of demons in the 40k rulebook especially if you are new to WH40k, daemons, or just 5th edition their are some slight changes with a few of the abilities. Here are some to be familiarwith:
Hit and run
Feels no pain
and of course Deepstrike and its new mishap table.
Not sure if telling exactly what the rules do is against the rules so left it up to you to look into and learn how they work. (Probably best to read them anyway and if you have questions how they could or do affect daemons ask)

My opponent tried to tell me nurglings don't get eternal warrior because they have the swarm special rule. I looked and it does not say they lose it so my t 3 swarm can't be insta killed as far as I can tell.
Also I learned do NOT deepstike close to the enemy lol. I forgot that a DP with wings can move a BIG distance in one round and that my horrors shooting is 18" away. Is it better to deepstike behind cover and protect your daemon the round you come in or just deepstike close to the enemy and hope they survive? I am curious about which is generally the best course of action.
Nurglings have eternal warrior. All demons have it regardless of their unit type. Nurglings do suffer from all effects that affect swarms though as well.
Deepstriking depends on the units movement and purpose. If they can move far deepstrike further back. If they can shoot you are safer to deepstrike back further. Things that will rely on being close you may want to drop closer or if they lack the speed to get to their target.
