    optimal number of plaguebearers?

What is the best number of plagubeares to have in a squad? I usually play space marines (who doesn't). I was thinking of going min numbers per squad to make my opponent have to split fire against more targets but I am now worried they will loose combat and I will have to roll for the extra wounds because I am fearless. How many plaguebearers are normally run per squad?
    Thanks for the replies!

you won't have to go any more then 10 that's for sure

alot of people play it at around 7-8 PBs a unit but you will so people who use units of 5 for capturing objectives or units of 9-10 (me being one of them)

7 Is ok to grab objectives and have a good survivability. 10 is reccomended to protect a unit Icon. If you are protecting Epidemius then get a squad of 14 just to be sure.

It depends on what you need them for.

8+ is good for an objective capping or icon protecting unit.

5-6 is good for multiple tough scoring units to pad out your waves. Need to drop certain units in 1 wave but don't have enough units? A couple minimum PB units can fill up another wave so you can get to the good stuff. 5 T5 models with 5++ and FNP going to ground if necessary can last for quite a while.

So far i've been restricted to 1 unit of 10 or 2 of 5

However there is something in me that likes the idea of running 7's.. fits with cannon etc etc even though there are no bonus's associated

I usually find that a 5 man squad will survive long enough to protect an icon unless the get assulted by a 30+ squad of Ork Boys (last game was nasty)

As I seem to typically get bad scatters wth DS'ing I will maximise coverage to get objectives and avoid big misshap losses
    Current Army Status - Chaos - 15000 points, Orks (BadMoonz) - 3000 Points - Space Wolves - 4000 Points, Necrons - 2000 Points.

I use 3 squads of 10 one with epidemius in it, that usually works for me if your having problems with orks try and get the charge on them, then you have a real advantage and charge them with a squad you're pretty sure will survive, then charge in with some real heavy hitters, GUO, DPs etc!
