This may be a stupid question, but I really am having a hard time figuring this out. I am about to order a Chaos army for my brother. On his list he has ten Terminator Champions.
Now, on the GW web site it shows a chaos terminator champion as being a seperate figure from normal terminators, but looking at them they really don't look very different. My brother and I really want to stick closely to the WYSIWYG rules. If thats the case, do I need to order 10 of the Chaos Terminator Champion single blisters? Or are Terminator champions pretty much the same in appearance as a normal terminator? Is it common to replace all of your terminators with champions? He seems to think that for the point cost, the extra attack is a huge deal.
How does everyone else model their terminator champs? Can you buy the terminator box and convert them all to champs?
Thanks a bunch.
I think what you are seeing is actually a Terminator Lord box. This will give option for a Termie Lord or a Termie Sorcerer in the same box. You don't need to buy this single model box to model Terminator Champions. Champions for Termies don't get any additional gear, only an extra attack, so there is no reason to have to model them any differently for WYSIWYG.
Thanks for the quick response. I checked again on the GW site, and it is a terminator champion miniature. Here's a link (not sure if it will work).
If you're saying that they look the same, and there is no need forthis special miniature that great news. Its much cheaper to just buy a couple of box sets then get 10 of those guys.
If they're all terminator champions, then you can save yourself the money and just get the regular terminator set. Since there isn't anything really to distinguish between the 2, just let your opponent know from the start that they are all champions. However, if you have both champion and regular terminators in your squad, you can then get the champion figures or, if you are on a budget, just paint the some of the regular terminators a little different to represent the champions.
