    What fits Night Lords?

    Predators or Havocs?

    Predator Autocannon Las Sponsons 130Pts
    Predator Autocannon Las Sponsons 130Pts
    or
    Havocsx5 lascannonx2 Rhino 180Pts
    Havocsx5 Missle Launcherx2 Rhino 150Pts

or just not have any long range anti tank and just take more CSM with meltaguns in rhinos?

predators! more mobility, more guns and fewer points. no long range anti tank is not so good when you face armys wit equal or better mobility. those could make it hard for your melta guns to achieve anything.

I agree with you on what is better but the question is one more of fluff than performance.

Raptors with meltas are more flufflike

but if its for heavy support, the havoks would be it
Although, there is the one story of the nightlords chaining the bodies of some smurfs to the front of their rhino, so I guess they can use armor, so would go with the Autocannon with las sponsons

Raptors and bikes with melta guns are the best fluff wise, but I would suggest using auto las preds, they are cheap and good all round AT pain.

Nightlords tend not to focus on heavy support choices. That being said, I think the havocs in your OP will work quite well.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.

I should think Havocs most of the time. Reason being because Havocs can sneak in, and then open fire, which means the first salvo flies across the sky before the enemy even knows the enemy is near. Pair this with the screech of assaulting Raptors and I think you've got the sound of a Night Lord ambush.

Predators are used at times I'm sure, but, I'm thinking you can usually hear those coming. And there is nothing frightening about them other than they are tanks. For armor, I imagine that the Night Lords use Defilers more than anything else.

I agree with hotspike, the defiler would be more Night Lordish. Especially with the extra movement. Two would be terrifying.

if your elite selections are not use up I think a unit of outflanking Chosen with melta guns in a rhino would be cool. Kinda fits with the night lords tactics.

The defilers would probly not work because of their reluctance to use daemons although I agree they fit with the terror part especially two. I should have also stated that my current list has all 3 fast attack slots filled with 10x raptors one of them 2x melta asp champ w/powerfist. I think I'll try and work in the havocs but im still not sure.
