Hello fellow demons, i have a question. I am starting to build my 40k daemon army and I am not sure how to model them. I really like slaneesh, but like alot of the other gods units. So the question is should I paint the other god units (Bloodletters, Horrors, etc.) as slaneesh? or should I paint them as normal? If I paint them as normal I could say they are detachments that are sent along with their herald. Which do you think is less lame? I feel like I would be trying to cheese my list if I didn't try to have them match a theme.
Having Slaanesh and Khorne units in one army is no worse than having an assault squad and devastator squad in a Marine army. They are all part of the list, and though staying exclusive to one god is a theme, it is no more valid an army than a mixed one.
But there's nothing stopping you painting Bloodletters in Slaanesh colours, or vice versa. Daemonsa re limited only by your imagination, there are no hard rules on colour schemes.
Having said that I like my army to make sense from a fluff point of view... I currently have a Khorne, Tz and Nurgle army, but there is a 'leader' for each group--a Bloodthirster, Tz Herald and Nurgle Prince. Whilst I'm not required to do that, I think it makes it look better than, say, just throwing a unit of Fiends in there without anything leading them.
