Hello, I was looking through Army lists and came across this 500pt list. The problem I see is that the 2 groups of 6 marines both have lascannons. How can this be? Unless I'm misunderstanding you have to have 10 man squads to carry a heavy weapon. There's the list, it's from the most recent codex as well. I thought they may be Havoc squads, but those wouldn't count for your troop choices...or would they?Code:Here's what I'd suggest. It keeps with the original setup: Lieutenant w/ Dark Blade, cc weapon, terminator armor 6 marines w/ Lascannon, plasma gun, Champ w/ PF 6 marines w/ Lascannon, plasma gun, Champ w/ PF 5 havocs w/ 4 heavy bolters 500 points
Hello. First, welcome to Librarium Online.
As to the list, it's not actually from the most recent codex. For one thing, the Dark Blade is a 3rd edition weapon, as is the lieut a 3rd edition HQ choice. That's probably why you see lascanons in this list.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Word was, this fix was because the build was so unpopular with SM players.
Now, we can only field six of these Units as EL/HS squads.
AND take six 10-man Las/Plas TR squads. Some fix . . .
Othe brainstorms, like doubling our HQ costs, don't scale well.
Low point lists - like 500s - are really thin.
Here's the 500pt Gavdex version:
500pt CSM (497)
HQ - 110
1x1 Lord TLBolter PWeapon
TR - 390
2x10 CSM Las/Plas
Some lists, like the 160pt TS Clash, are impossible.
Hey thanks you guys. I didn't realize it was from an older codex. The date of the forum post I read was from 2007 so I assumed it was new.
Anyway, that's really dumb how it is now considering my Black Templar friend can have 5 man squads with lascannons. Ah well, thanks again for the great info!
