So, Karanak is listed as a fast attack optional add on to the Flesh Hounds in the book, on page 86 (CoD Codex). What I am asking is a clarification on rules or whether or not I have found a typo unbeknownst to me before the other day.
On page 55 (CoD Codex) is where Karanak's description and such is listed, Under unit type it states...
"Beasts. Karanak is always fielded with a unit of Flesh Hounds, picked as a normal Elites choice. Karanak is simply and upgrade character for this unit."
No, I am assuming, hopefully a safe assumption, that this is just a typo.
My only other thought is, either
A) If Karanak is chosen the Hounds become Elites, or
To field Karanak you need to use the FA choice for the Hounds, and a seperate Elite choice for Karanak.
Seing as there is no clear statment to do option A or B is where I get my typo assumption.
Anyone care to clear this up? (Mainly just so I don't have to worry about anyone randomly poping this on me saying I made a list that does not fallow Force Organization)
Heh, good catch. I think it's safe to assume it's simply a typo. The Karanak entry does not actually say there are any special rules around the FOC and using Karanak, nor does the Flesh Hounds entry in the army list. You can also see near identical text in the Changeling's Unit Type description.

Haha, good stuff. I was guessing typo was the way to go with this.
