Well I saw people arguing about which are better Fiends or Bloodcrushers so I decided to start up this poll to see what everyone thought. Personally I have no idea so I'm gonna wait to see the results.
Hey, I'm known as Solitaire on the great Forum Heresy Online. Check it out sometime. . .
Speed, Speed, Speed. Bloodcrushers can't catch anything so they'll never see combat and die. Fiends can run around all over the field and kill anything.
Crushers have difficulties with fast vehicles & even crisis suits, sure.. but they do not have anywhere near the problems you seem to try and claim with reaching combat with everything else. Especially considering you'll be dropping between the enemy and the objectives, so if they run from you, they're taking themselves out of the game.
a) Space marines are so tough for daemons, and who else really uses dreads?
b) There's absolutely no way with deep striking you can attack without getting charged by a dread....
c) You can't kill the dread(s) with bolts / princes / whatever
But whatever, I find back and forth arguments when neither of us will change our mind extremely tiresome, especially since we had this discussion in another thread already.
a) Marines are the most popular army, so it stands to reason one would come across Dreads, Defilers, and so on more often. Marines are difficult for Daemons if they bring a good mech army or simply don't play like a chump.
b) If they deploy properly, that Dread can cover their lines quite well, better if they use a couple. Remember Deep Strikers can't charge after coming in, and Bloodcrushers have those stupidly big bases.
c) It's Daemons, so your anti-tank is limited. Either shoot the Dreads that don't do much but drag your Crushers down or the transports and tanks that totally ruin your army. Fiends beat Dreads, and if they can't nail them in 1 round they H&R out to get something else.
It's not really a back and forth, more of a "lalalala I can't hear you!!! lolbludcrushers!" thing going on. Amusing for sure, but not terribly productive.
Now, before this gets stupid, I'll try and bring it back to a legitimate discussion. What sorts of armies are you running up against that can't handle Bloodcrushers? What makes them so good to you?
There is not even a question, Fiends are better then noobcrushers. They lack the toughness and the the normal armor save but you put them by cover and you can have them further out which makes them less likely to have a mishap and less units to be in range to down them. They cost for a unit of 6 less points and can never be bogged down by a sturdy cc unit.

Now now children, play nice.
As for the discussion, on paper, I prefer Fiends (Though I have never uysed them in a game myself), as has been mentioned, I find my bloodcrushers lack of mobility seriously hinders them.
Moob, whilst this may be because I have not seen the discussion in another thread ( I may just go look for that now), it seems you have not offered any reasons that bloodcrushers are better than fiends here, rather, you have just defended the downsides that other people have put forward.==You== read my mind. Now, before this gets stupid, I'll try and bring it back to a legitimate discussion. Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
I voted both, because both have their uses. Fiends are good for blitzkriegin through the enemy, especially in conjunction with another fast, killy unit like a Bloodthirster. The Thirster slams into whatever "shield" unit the enemy has (the babysitters of, say, Devastators) and whenthey are locked in combat, the Fiends zip by to lay the law on the other group, possibly coming to aid the Thirster if needs be the next round.
As for the Crushers... They are good at absorbing fire and tying down stuff like melee-happy Dreadnoughts long enough to be, in turn, charged by one of your many, many MC-options, or heck, maybe even Fiends.
In conclusion... Both are good models, but they work best in tandem with either reach other or some other fast hardhitter.
