I love the chaos daemons, they are my favored army, but I canít help but notice that out of the 39 different models of the army, 17 didnít exist, out of the remaining 15 models, only three where plastic, and on of which (Iím not going to name them, but they know who they are.. daemonettes.) are cool, but are more of a pain to build and are far overpriced and are only really used in mono god lists.
After realizing this, the memory of the day picking up my daemon army lost its shine. Its still my most beloved army, but why missing so much? Every one I talk to about this just says GW is cheep (more or less true.) Then I herd about this second wave of daemons coming out in a few months time that is supposed to be made up of (and supposedly all plastic)Ö
Daemon Prince of Chaos Set (I have seen pictures of this thrown around the nets like confetti.)
Seekers of Slannesh
Plague Bearers of Nurgle
Pink Horrors of Tzeentch and/or a Pink Horror Command Squad
Possibly a few Chariots and Heralds.
Now if this list was set in stone, I would be very happy, but the only thing confirmed is the Daemon Prince, and as much as I would love a multi-part plastic kit, I already have two Princes and could use the other items more. I question the other rumors of what is coming out because there is no pictures at all.
Does any one have any rumors or info to support or discredit this? Because I was just going to buy other miniís and convert them, but if these are going to be released in a few months time, I would rather just buy them instead.
The changling has been confirmed but their is no date
The problem is that the economy has caused most everything to get delayed, we don't know when they'll finally be released or what will.
Just sit back and wait for them to come out
Sweet, at least he will be comming out. I have a sad feeling that he is going to be by himself in a metal blister pack.
I'm going say myth, the DP and changeling maybe. But I think GW is happy getting $50 off us daemons players for 10 plaguebearers or horrors. The company is in financial trouble to my understanding. That's my daily rant on GW prices.
They are in financial trouble? geez, and I thought they would have a surpluse after all these years of having core and troop choices made out of metal.
They I highly doubt they are in trouble
all of their financial reports so far have shown a growth, which they explained is because they are in a niche market so economic booms and bust have minimal effect on their business
A lot of people theorize that they raise prices to try and make up for a huge loss buts its probably actually just compensating for inflation
A few months back at a school tournament in Nottingham I asked a GW employee about the 2nd Daemon Wave and he indirectly revealed that Fateweaver will be in it by saying *cough* fateweaver *cough*!
Hey, I'm known as Solitaire on the great Forum Heresy Online. Check it out sometime. . .
As cool as it would be to have Fate Weaver, I fear he will be in a large metal box set that will cost more then the normal Lord of Change. Although, at my local store when they where throwing a party of the store's happy 5th, one of the epmployees told me that since the Daemons have an entire metal line, they souldn't be getting any more metal modles.
Just when i've finished converting, so this means...
...They put S**tloads of stuff in the new codex, they release models. Not models that are actually needed Forcing people to have to convert. After a year/ yr and half they suddenly decide to release those models.
So i, and everyone else now has to pull around £200 out of our behinds because most staff only allow the real models.
Edit: Sorry i was slightly annoyed hopefully they'll be doing PLASTIC horrors and cheaper screamers.
