Anyone got a suggestion o what i could use as a Chaos Lord with twin claws, tried to convert the jump lord ( only one with twin claws ) tonight and made a complete mess of it
would it be wrong to use shrke form the SM codex ??????
One of the old space marine veterans is armed with a pair of lightning claws, you may still be able to find those. If not you could you use the lightning claws from the chaos terminator lord, although they may look too bulky.
This is the one.

You could take an ordinary CSM, give him a power weapon in each hand--an easy enough conversion--and claim 'counts as lighting claws'. Add a jump pack and whatever fancy head you can find and you're done. Shrike would be fine except for the bother of filing Imperial insignia off a metal model.

Find someone who is making assault termies with the TH/SS spam these days they will have plenty of lightning claws free.
Also, go wings instead of jump pack, a model with wings can enter a transport,

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
if you'd use the chaos terminator lord plastic lightning claws, it would shure as hell look extremely oversized. if you have them pointed down, the marine would walk on his lightning claws instead of his legs and his arms would be thicker than his legs, too.
i don't know how you feel in this matter but i don't like those space marine lightning claws. they look like powerfists with glued on glittery things from the chewing gum vending machine.
the lightning claws of an old metal assault terminator should fit pretty good. their shoulder pads are a bit bigger than power armour ones but the arms are not that long. they should fit all right with a chaos marine.
Hive fleet graphica, i thank you! I knew this model existed but did not know what it was called! I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm totally using this guy as a winged Lord!
That model has my vote anyway.
What I did was to file down the knuckles of the right-handed SM assault marine powerfist, then take the regular CSM powerfist, file down the knuckles on both of them, then take 8 of the combat knives you can find in both SM and CSM boxes, chop of the handles, glue them to where you filed down the knuckles, fix any errors with some greenstuff.
I'll see if I can try and take a picture or two of how it turned out. I'm quite pleased with the results myself atleast... though you'll have to wait till I get home. Posting this using one of the computers at the public library so don't got any minis, nor cameras at hand.
I probably didnt explain very well.............
the jump packlord has twin claws the issue is that his legs are tangled into the jump pack harness and when you cut him off at the knees the legs look rubbish and one leg is much longer than the other. !!!!!!!!!!
so was looking for an alternative with legs
