    good substitute for plaguebearers?

are the vampire counts zombie horde good for counting as Plaguebearers? If i give them minimal or no weapons and paint them a slimy green I think it may work. Also if you know of more ways to to get cheaper chaos daemons, let me know. Thanks.

Virtually any zombie or ghoul undead figure should work fine. That's basically what I did, but I also added greenstuff to help give them that melty appearance. They should probably also have a close combat weapon of some sort as well, to represent their plague swords.

The last thing I'd do, in any case, is buy the official model. Pewter plaguebearers is ridiculous, considering how many you usually need, especially in Epidemus lists.
