is there any good tactics for chosens?
in most games i find terminators or havocs better
well what is your definition of good?
I find being able to outflank quite good.
Outflank is their real claim to fame.
Havocs can take loads of special weapons too and are 3pts cheaper.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
3 Meltaguns and a Powerfist and outflank. When they come in, expect the first enemy tank they see to be slagged! Flamers are nice too, but more often than not, my Berzerkers are more than a match for enemy infantry.
Also, if your reserve rolls are lucky, you could get a Greater Daemon to pop up right in your enemy's lines, since the Aspiring Champion is pretty cheap and doesn't need many upgrades really.
I don't normally give them a Rhino, but I figure its an added security measure and good LOS blocker if enormous return fire worries you. Generally, I find theres some nook or cranny the Chosen can bunker down in that the enemy has left open.
I always thought that they would make a good termie-hunting unit. Give 4 lighting claw pairs, and stick them in a rhino with a sorcerer with wind of chaos. I'm not sure if this would ACTUALLY be effective or not, but I think it's a cool thought.
I also feel like such a tactic is only viable in a very large game (maybe 1750+, I'm thinking more like 2000), since that huge point sink is going to have little effect on the game until a good reserves roll comes in. I've had too many battles where a deepstriking Obliterator didn't get into the game until turn 4 or 5 (luckily, my infiltrating chosen were able to slag most armored threats).
Also, terminator hunting is always a rough game to play. You're better off making them eat plasma.
Do note that I'm slightly prejudiced: I prefer Daemon Princes to Sorcerers most of the time. Mainly because of two sick awesome Daemon Prince conversions
5 Chosen w/ 4 plasma guns, aspiring champion, icon (of your choice) = 170-220pts (depending on the icon)
They infiltrate into a good defensive location and hold there with their plasma guns, finally summoning a greater deamon and/or a squad of lesser daemons.
thanks all for the good tactics!
i wanted to make some chosens for my word bearer army but did not know if they were good.
i liked the idea to spawn a GD in the enemy flank.
I like useing 5 chosen all with Melta's outflanking, may be a bit overkill, but if those shots where on a tank or terms or something its a lot of damage, and only 140pts....
