So, after experimenting with a few different types of lists (I really appreciate your guys help! I won actually won my last two games)... I'm finding that I really like pimped out DPs of Nurgle (with MoN, wings, noxious touch, iron hide, and cloud of flies). Even though they are quite expensive this way, at 215 pts, I ran a pair of them, and they were just awesome together and really put my Eldar opponent in some tough spots. I lost one, but the two together plus the bloodletters definitely won me the game.
I've been wanting to try out a Fateweaver list, and most people suggest running him with bloodcrushers for some added resilience, but I was thinking what if I ran him with three DPs of Nurgle configured as above? That way I'd have a extremely powerful, resilient, fast group of monsters that could just tear through my opponents troops one by one.
Can anyone help me assess the pros and cons of this configuration (besides the obvious high cost of such an operation - thought I'd try it in a 2000 pts list).
Ive run a Fateweaver list more or less from the start of the codex and he is nasty. i take 3 DP's of tzeentch and sit them within his 6" safety zone and fire off Bolt's. and DG. it draws alot of attention (and all most all of the fire) to them but they can take it thanks to Fateweaver.
So do you think the high expense of this process is worth it? Or should I drop some of the DPs' upgrades to minimize this cost?
Right now, with all the upgrades I've given them, each DP is 215 pts. So that gives:
Fateweaver 330 pts
DPoN1 215 pts
DPoN2 215 pts
DPoN3 215 pts
So just on HQ and HS this is a quite expensive, but admittedly powerful section... I can't tell if it's worth it. I'll probably try it anyway, but I just thought I'd see what the folks here thought! On top of this, in a 2000 pts list, I'd probably run a pack of 'Letters, a pack of Fiends, maybe the Masque, although my HQ is already expensive enough... probably a smallish unit of 'Crushers and a suicide squad of Flamers.
id take two Tzeentch Chariots for fire support and fill out your troops for the rest of the list and see how it goes.
I really need to learn the proper way to play this game... Like I mentioned before in my first post, my friends only ever want to play the mode where you just try to kill each other off and count up Victory points (I think it's how they did it in 4e?). So I'm making my lists with that purpose in mind. *shrug*
Tzeralds, Fiends, and Bletters/PBs would be most handy in this sort of army.

Man, that sounds like a vicious army. I'd go with the shooty DP of Tzeentch rather than the choppy DP of Nurgle for this list, because you don't want the Fateweaver to get too close to the enemy. He'll fall apart if he's in rapid fire range and/or gets assaulted by tough opponents.
