My friend is new to Chaos Daemons and brought a Chariot of Tzeentch last time. His question was, does the chariot cause 2x slashing attacks over any enemy unit it flies over? like any screamers?
And does the disc do slashing attacks too?
Chariots don't do any 'slashing attacks' moving over models, and neither do screamers or discs. Chariots and screamers move as if they were jetbikes and discs move like jump infantry, so they pass over harmlessly. The models riding do gain bonuses to their profile as described on pg 76 of the chaos deamons codex though.
As far as I know, only dark eldar vehicles with certain upgrades can do damage to units they pass over.

You are thinking Fantasy Screamers where they do damage as they fly over units. I don't think chariots in Fantasy do that either because it isn't in their special rules. But in 40K they definitely don't cause any kind of damage as they pass over units.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross the road without anyone questioning its intentions.
I was just about to ask this when i saw your post about fantasy Tzeentch chariots and have to agree with aounfather.
If you notice its written next to the profiles that whilst other chariot mounts like steeds of slaanesh retain thier poisen attacks, the only special rules noted for the Tzeentch chariot is that it flys and has flaming attacks.
aww silly me I posted under the wrong sub forum
yeah I meant fantasy actually.
