So just by scanning a few posts I can see that the defiler w/ 2 CC weapons is a favored combo, and I was just curious if anyone could post up some pics of their defilers, seeing as the kit only comes with 1 CC weapon. I'm just looking for a little inspiration for my own model.
Monstrous Defilers. I'm most impressed by the Iron Warriors robot-walker-cyborg-thingy.
"The more choices you force the opponent to make, the better the chance for you to capitalize on his mistakes"
I actually tell people to leave the Reaper Autocannon on and replace the Heavy Flamer with a CC arm. This is mainly because I've seen alot of Defilers get immobilized and the battle cannon get destroyed very early in the game (seen it a couple of times on turn one, and it's stuck in their deployment zone doing nothing the rest of the game). With the Reaper Autocannon at least you still have a chance to take out light armored vehicles even if he's stuck in your deployment zone and the battle cannon is gone.
Those are some sick defiler conversions, yours Rabbit looks by far the creepiest and coolest. Mind if I ask how it was done?
@GoR: This really depends on the type of army you play and if you overall lack CC or anti tank. Plus if you field only only Defiler or more.
Thanks for the pics btw.. I should really start my conversion soon. I wanna have him like a big ass Tzeentchy Tomb Spider.

As for how it was made, it was quite simple, I think: The body and cannon are IG basilisk, while the legs (obviously) are traditional defiler stock. They were glued together using a plastic adhesive binder. Then Green Stuff was applied. If you were to glimpse inside the beast's mouth, you would notice the underside of a plastaic bottle cap, which you can easily see in the second image. From there, additional Green Stuff was built up in order to fashion the large cranial structure, including the over-extended lower jaw. The large teeth are shaved down plasti-card, while the smaller ones correspond to Green Stuff.
If you look closely at the model, there's nothing exceptional about it. The sculpting is rudamentary, as is the paint job. At the same time, the modeler/painter really knew how to maximize his skills and brought the whole thing together under a consistent theme (Constistent themese are one of the chief constituents to having a good looking army or squad).

Seeing those made me think that I could just use two of the smaller claws and put them where the huge ones go now, in the front. Then move the huge ones up to the weapons frame next to the battle cannon. I would just have to find some way to beef up those fron small claws to make them seem like CC weapons and not just legs.
@Ignis: Sorry, I should have mentioned (used to people already knowing) I play hardcore fluffy World Eaters so my army consists of a bunch of Berzerkers, 2 Defilers, Kharn and a Khorne DP. I lack not the CC, but I do lack the long-ish range anti tank so i leave the RA on the Defilers.
here is what I did with my arms. Basically made some razor wire limbs and added the spike tips on the end of it. I got the idea from silent hill. I originally wanted heaps more razor wire coming from all over the top hull but couldn't be bothered.
P.S. apologies for the big and crap light in the pic. I don't have photoshop at the moment with this new computer and yeah..
Omgitsduane, thanks for uploading that, it's the kind of thing I wanted to do with my Defiler, inspired entirely by this picture. Is that the GW barbed wire stuff you used?
