Hi guys, Im currently making a world eaters army (it has to be world eaters, due to coming across a load of FW conversion kits for tanks.
I have a couple of questions if you could take the time to answer them id be grateful, as id like my army to be as lore-appropriate as possible
1: Are ALL world eaters lobotomised into bezerkers?, or would it be feasible to have "normal" CSM squads riding around in World eaters marked Rhinos etc?
2: Are the chaos numbers still considered lore? 6 for Slaanesh, 7 for Nurgle, 8 for Khorne and 9 for Tzeentch?
3: Whilst not necessarily big on firefights, do World eaters utilise war machines such as defilers/drednaughts?
many thnaks guys
1) No, only the "berzerkers" of the world eaters chapter are lobotomized. Now there are plenty of berzerkers in the chapter(well warbands, the world eaters are fairly splintered now) so they definitely aren't rare, but certainly not the entirety of the chapter.
2)Yes they are.
3)Yes. They like to use anything that is killing something up close and personal. Defilers and dreadnoughts are perfect for a fluffy world eaters army. I would give the dread a mostly CC build and same for the defiler. They also use rhinos, land raiders, bikes, etc. They just prefer dakka, CC, and fast variants of all of those vehicles.
I hate LO sometimes -_-. wtb delete post function.

thanks very much, glad to know i can use most of my exsisting models for my army list now.
lots of big crushy things fits in well after my appaling attempted to use any form of gunline...
paregoric_HAL got it pretty down pat. You don't necessarily HAVE to use Berzerkers as your troops, they're just the more well known troops of the World Eaters, but you could use normal CSMs. The "magic" number still applies, it's just strategically practical to field these troops as so. The World Eaters are VERY big on Defilers and CC Dreads, giant CC warmachines that will rip tanks and troops apart with their bare "hands" is right up their alley as well as Land Raiders, mostly used for getting around and assaulting out of obviously.
