HOw do Chaos Space Marines kill their enemies? What is your strategy that exploits all of their strong points? What are their strongpoints? What are they best at? Thanks
hrmmmmm you seem to have pimped up quite a few army list forums to find out how each army plays. lets see. CSM have some very good CC units and most of the wargear seems to be directed towards that end. Dont let this hide the fact that some of the best shooty armies are in Choas as well. there can be alot of variation in the army with the different marks of chaos and defferent legions. The basic unit is pretty tough with the T4 and the +3 armor save. the army doesn't really have the ability to feild a whole lot of units and can easily go over board by tricking certain units out with too many goodies.
it depends on the which traitor legion you have and what kind of player you are
if u want good combat choose Khorne
If u want good fire power choose either slaanesh of tzeentch
if u want all round choose undivided
if u want a hard as nails army choose nurgle

It is better to die in vein than live in abnormation. The zeolys matyr is praised for his valor, the craven and unready are just abhored."

:shifty: My suggestion is to go with Undivided. It's the best way to have an adaptable army. Most people get an enormous woody over one of the Legions like World Eaters or Thousand sons whenever they think of Chaos. I think of Chaos armies as having something to deal with anything. Want heavy firepower? Go with Slaanesh marines and Noise weaponry, or Havocs with Tank Hunters. Want assault unit? go with Berzerkers, or CCW/bp marines equipped with furious charge. Aspiring Champions also give the opportunity for great conversions, and unique style. Create your own UD legion, and build up cults to each of the chaos gods to include in games. They're an Elites choice with an UD lord. Just Remember, go with your own style, and you'll enjoy playing with Chaos Marines, the best bad guys since Dr. Evil.
If Knowledge is Power, then Genius is Tyranny.
CSM have a really CC style of play. prefering cc over shooty.
<a href='http://kevan.org/brain.cgi?chaosbringer' target='_blank'>40k-forum.tk go there, its the best</a>
i've heard alchohol makes you stupid!
No i'm . . . doesn't
With the ability to have superior numbers in their troop squads to that of the Space Marine tactical, combined with the fact that 4 of the 5 marks make them more effective in close-combat in one way or the other, the CSMs are quite CC-oriented. While they can be shooty, their greater strength lies in CC, and imo you might as well play regular Space Marines if you're going to play shooty CSM.
Every whisper of the future from the Warp speaks of a hundred battles lost, a thousand lives devoured and a million enemies born. -- Inquisitor Lord Babel
It really really really depends on what army you play, but for the most part the armies are good at CC. Khorne rocks the cc world and is as stated in the LLOOOOONG TACTICAAAA it is one of the best cc armies.
Iron warriors on the other hand are amazing shooty armies but because they are marines they are no slouches in cc either. Thier main problem is mobility.
I could go on and on but I figured I would show you both ends of the spectrum.
p.s. Go EC, I mean how many times can you run pink warrior at an enemy army and rip them to shreds with souped up boom boxes... exactly...
