In CSM is the Khorne legion a very good choice for CC? I want to have a CSM army that is Deamonish (Khorne fits that perfect) and that is GREAT at CC.
OH...and are Deamon Princes and Bloodthirsters some of the best Characters?[(like as good as a Nightbringer?)(fighting wise)]
khorne are the most close combat orientated chaos there is.
And they are very very good at it. The bloodthirster wouldnt be able to beat the nightbringer in close combat...however, i'd say hes more worth it, as the thirster is cheaper, faster, and against alot of men, he can kill alot more than the nightbringer would...
i just like the bloodthirster alot more than the nightbringer cos he looks a helluva lot cooler too heh
Never judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes...by that time they'll be a mile away, and have no shoes
if you like fielding raving luniticks who thirst for the blood of even the cutest bunny rabbits, axe wealding madmen with the thirst for blood unequaled by any other race.
khorne is the god of battle, period.
Take my words with a grain of salt, i am not the tactical genius i think i am!
Actually, Slannesh beat Khorne in just about all aspects of combat.
- -1 initiative : strike at same time as berserkers or even before
- daemonic talons of daemonettes - power weapon on a 6: better than bloodletter for the price
- Daemon prince of Slannesh: absolute monstrosity who can get str 10 attack on a effective initiative of 7. Khorne daemon princes dont even come close to that.
As a matter of curiosity, how can a Slaaneshi prince get to ten strength? Oh, and why would you want him there?
thank you and good night
Lord w/ Stature, Strength, Dark Blade, Furious Charge and Combat Drugs w/ MoS. If the Combat Drugs up your Strength, it's S10 on the charge. Also, if you give him Strength, and Combat Drugs to up Strength, and then kit him out with a PF, it puts him at S10, and striking at the same time, due to the fact that Warp Scream reduces enemy Initiative, and has no effect on one's OWN initiative. And anything at S10 is nice.
Ahh, okay, I was looking in the Slaanesh book for another strength booster. Didn't occur to me that he might have meant the Furious Charge bonus on the charge. I still don't see what real practical advantage there is to a strength ten compared to a strength eight. Maybe against t.m.c.-heavy tyranids or monolith-heavy necrons, I guess. Oh, and insta-killing toughness-five necron lords and daemon princes is possible, too. Still, against the majority of models, it won't make any difference, except that you'll have fewer points to spend on speed and defensive upgrades.
thank you and good night
GAH!!! This thread has gotten too off topic and out of hand.
