Alright, to forestall the inevitable onset of gamer ADD and to try and keep my focus on my current army, I have decided to add a small detachment of Alpha Legion to my Harvest Guard Nurgle list. But I've run into a problem - how do you run fluffy XX Legion in the new chaos Codex?
Short Answer: You don't.
Long answer: You could try picking out units that most closely match the abilities of the units you're trying to emulate. I could easily see Alpha Legionaires being represented with infiltrating Chosen, or some well-equipped Havocs. You can't really get more Alpha-Legion'y than that with the newest 'dex.
Alpha legion also have a healthy amount of sorcerers so you may run one of them as your HQ.
In the old dex they were really all about cultists that could infiltrate + one other vet skill (either move through cover, siege specialist, or furious charge). They could also summon daemons but only from icons that their cultists used. So possibly limit the amount of daemons they can have except on their chosen squads that infiltrate or something.
Maybe I'm mis-understanding the question but fluff is kind of up to the player. Just look at what Alpha Legion once had and try to get something close in your army. Some good examples have been mentioned. You can also do a lot with modelling and painting, more people appreciate that than anything and it can be the most fun.
If you want in game things that feel Alpha Legion, I'd go with Chosen. They Infiltrate and Outflank, very stealthy.

I would just use the loyalist codex,
cultists=scouts with pistol+ccw or shotguns, no bolters and heavy/spec weapons
maybe scout bikers as cultists
You could use guard models (where the carapace armour come from)
HQ=sicarius, gives infiltrate to one tactical squad
one or two devastator squads and an other tactical squad
maybe a squad of ds terminators
outflanking khan list, or shrike also can infiltrate a squad.
One squad can come normally, so at the end Your force will be scattered all over the table
To disguise themselves as loyalists pretty much Alpha legion tactics too and since they are not devoted to any God, the loss of IoCG won`t hurt that much. Same with the cult/chaos troops, You wouldn`t use plague marines, possessed squads or obliterators in an AL list anyway
PS.: I did not read the Harvest Guard part...
In this case... only chosen.
Calums havin this problem at the moment. Theres a thread about it in the list section
Except its completely AlphaLegion
He was also considering using the loyalist book but chose not to on personal grudges or something.
If its only inducted Alpha Legion then stick with a bunch of chosen. If you want a full Alpha army well, more chosen...
