So i've been messing around with green stuff for the last couple of years and now i thought of trying to sculpt a miniature from nothing to full miniature in miliput/green stuff all the way. Its the first time i've done it and there's a couple of things i would have done differently had i known what i've learned by making before i made, hindsight is such a brutal thing... (note, weapon chain is still made of a normal chain)
anyhow, i wanted the rest of you to see it and feel free to comment especially if you have any advice regarding sculpting as i reckon i still have quite a way to go. hope you enjoy my idea of a GUO... (note: he is on a 60 mm round base)
Looks fine. Way better than I could sculpt. just add more detail and he will look better than the current model.
Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
Grey knights - 1000 Points
I like him. Good for you.. The face is a bit comical, hey but maybe the GUO has a sense of humor. Way better than I could do. Rep for your work. +
NECRON Army List Builder a Free excel capable list generator for 5th and 6th ed. 11/2011
Necrons - 6000 points, Tau - 6000, Daemons - 5250, Eldar - 4500, Blood Angels - 5000
Some pics form my hobby. http://s145.photobucket.com/albums/r...arodragon/40k/
I sculpted my own Disc of Tzeentch to make a Blue Scribes model. I made a large (too large if you ask me) Screamer, put two Blue Pink Horror models on it. I drilled small holes in their hands and added feathers (dabbed in ink) and scrolls printed in 4 point wing ding font. You know I had fun doing it and all, but it looks like crap beside your model. You have a gift that was passed over me. Although my friends say my model looks ok, I would never post a picture of it. Keep up the good work!

Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Come to think of it, your model looks like a friend of my wife! :-)
thank you all for the nice comments. hardest part was hands and face (which was expected) and its the parts which i'm not fully satisfied with but hey, there will be a next time, had alot of fun making this one even though i takes alot of patience...
the jolly look is actually meant to be like that, allways liked the idea of GUOs being jolly and grandfatherly, very sick and wrong...
the nose... yeah, well... that was more like the end of my skills thats life, but as i wrote, i learned alot, and hopefully the face will be easier/better next time...
will propably do more daemons during the next year anyway, propably more conversions than full sculpts since i plan on buying 2-3 of the new daemon princes and magnetizing neck and wings so i can choose which mark he'll have and if he has wings or not... gotta love magnets.
once again, criticism is welcome, i know i'm learning
