So I was wondering, with the new Daemon Prince coming with a 60mm base for 40K, does that mean technically the older ones should be updated to a 60mm as well? I just wanted to make sure, as mine are all on 40mm since that is what they came with when I bought them (or when I made them).
Thanks in advance!
Your model is put on the base that it came with in the box so you should be fine, off course if you want to mount him on a 60mm base that is entirely your choice, i did it for mine as it allowed me to make a nice base for him.
You can use the base that your prince came with, I personally changed mine as I found that they tipped over alot and as Dreachon said, you can make a nicer scenic base for them on the larger ones.

I thought some where GW said that if there was an updated version of the model on a different size base you had to use that one? For instance pewter termies have to be on 40mm instead of the 25mm they came with. Also older dreadnoughts need a 60mm base in, even though they didn't come with one. Maybe I am mistaken, but that is what I was told.
ok so wait, you mean where you are from, you see terminator armor on both 25mm and 40mm bases?
They (Armies with termies on both 25mm and 40mm bases) occasionally crop up in my local game store, but no one really cares, it usually doesn't impact on the game too much, and we all play casually.

Thats wonderful, but I wanna know if you go to a GW event (such as 'ard boyz) will they enforce you to use a regulation sized base? In case you wondering about what answer I want, I don't want to hear "Well, most people or stores won't care." I want to know what the official word is on this.
Also, with the same point in mind. If you are able to use the original base, then why not use old termies for deep strikes and new termies for land raider assaults?
