How do you arm your chaos lords?
Friend of mine plays Chaos and he just beat my other friend today with a lord with MoK, Wings, and a pair of Lightning Claws.... shredded a tactical squad and a chapter master + honour guard... with a little help from a Khorne Berserker squad.
I've heard Daemon weapons are pretty good too.
I use lord with MoK and Daemon weapon in a squad of berserkers. The lord actually solo'd mephiston in one game that I played. But, this isn't a very safe build as you have a greater than 1-in-6 chance of not doing anything that combat. But when he gets the attacks, he really rocks it. I would recommend the above setup for reliable, but I like mine for "go big or go home".
It generally depends on the rest of the army but here are a few examples.
Lord. Mark of Khorne, Twin-lightning claws, combi-melta, melta bombs
Lord. Mark of Slaanesh, Steed of Slaanesh, plasma pistol, blissgiver
Lord. Daemon weapon.
Lord, Mark of Khorne, Bloodfeeder, jumpack, combi-melta
And so on.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
the important thing to remeber is whatever you give him, CC is where he rules, buy you have to get him there, if Terminator then DS or transport in a LR, otherwise get him in a decent sized squad, get him some wings or jump pack, or get him in a rhino.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.

Totally agreed, Horus. I played a game on Thursday past with Lucius and a 10-man Terminator unit to help him get across the open ground (Lucius had been in a Chosen Rhino but it got smacked, leaving him a bit of a walk). Once he got into combat, he took down 16 models before being swatted by a Wolf Guard Battle Leader with a Frostblade.
The delivery service is vital if you want to get the most out of your expensive HQ. The other thing too is: don't overspend on the Lord. Give him just enough tools to do the job well, get him there to do it and let the fun start!
"Tau Commandment #226: Participants who use Velocity Trackers in the Tau Clay Pigeon Tournament will be disqualified"
Hehe yeah it is... I was helping a friend figure out the equipment for his lord and I test-rolled for a bloodfeeder.... got a one every single time...
On topic with the thread... anyone try a lord with Terminator Armor, MoN, and Daemon Weapon?
In case you folks were wondering, the bloodfeeder has a 31% chance to fail epicly
The mark of Slaanesh plus a Daemon weapon seems like a great combo. Does this actually work?
