Alternate Model for Greater Daemon of Slaanesh / Keeper of Secrets

    Hi All,

I am building a 1,000 point army which is all Slaanesh, ok it may not be the best tactical way to play campaigns, but I want a themed army!

The obvious choice for a HQ for the themed army is a Keeper of Secrets. To me however, the GW model doesn't really capture the essence of what the Slaanesh should look like, especially as my overall commander of the force.

Does anyone have any ideas? I admit I really like the forgeworld model, but I can't spend that much money on 1 figure!

You could always mod a dark elf/high elf conversion, I've seen a few of those mixed with daemonette peices

The forgeworld model is VERY NICE, but it's HUGE, doesn't really play well in a normal game.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...

The forgeworld mega daemon of Slaneesh is big and expensive but it will easily fit on a 60mm round base.

If you need alternatives check out the Heldorado, Warmachine or Hordes ranges. Maelstrom games are releasing some big monsterous creatures under their own label.

She's way too big for a regular 40k game.. with actual LoS she'll tower over most terrain etc

Also.. that model is particularly fragile, so i wouldn't want (and don't) use her on a regular basis... I have all 4 of the Daemon Lords and yes it's a lot of cash to splash on 4 models but i look at them as centrepieces
    Current Army Status - Chaos - 15000 points, Orks (BadMoonz) - 3000 Points - Space Wolves - 4000 Points, Necrons - 2000 Points.

I Agree the current KoS is blah, and the forge world one just isn't practical. This Girl wouldn't look bad, with some green stuff perhaps, and an extra arm or two, you'd have to remember to put her on the proper base size, but then my own thought is it lacks size to block LoS properly.

So my other thought, what about a DP, with green stuff, he's got enough arms in the box, I'm looking at a Mono God, Slaanesh army as well, so if I run a KoS, this would be one of my first thoughts.

What about a plastic Daemon prince with Tyranid Crushing Claws, Some Green Stuff, and Chaos Bitz?

Was thinking about doing that myself

Sorry to revive an older post but I thought this would be useful, pathofskulls post wouldn't link so I hope this is not the same model.

Ultraforge has some really great stuff. Hope I'm not breaking any form rules with that link. They also have an amazing Lord of Change

I just completed my own conversion of a KoS and made a thread on the modelling forum. In case you don't check that forum:
